Lately I’ve been reflecting a lot on personal growth and learning. We’re a whole lot of those you’ve been surrounded by or been lucky to have collaborated with.
That got me thinking, who are 5 people that have been most impactful in shaping me to this day?
I’m not including family or relatives cause they are easy and automatically included in my case (and hopefully that applies to most people). Another point is that you have to actually have worked with them in some fashion.
It’s extremely hard to limit this and there are several more I’d like to list but here’s a go at it for now:
- Wes Benedict: For finding creative solutions to move the needle no matter how big the challenges or obstacles are
- Ken Moellman: For always finding a way to make the “machines behave”, CLI goodness and consensus decision-making leadership.
- Cara Schulz: For being a fighter and demonstrating excellent communication skills. For telling it like it is in the most no BS way possible but still elegant and positive. The grit to knuckle down and make things happen.
- Allen Shaw: For the solopreneur spirit and focusing on the big picture outcomes / re-framing goals to hit “home runs”.
- Tyler Harris / Daniel Fishman: For being strategic thinkers that see the big picture and builds a team you’ll absolutely love to work with.
It’s all pretty neat and I’m very grateful for these amazing people and their insights. So, what mentors or collaborators have been impactful for your career and why?
