Most commercial CRMs hit you with a penalty for success:
- More users? Pay more.
- More contacts? Pay more.
- Need a feature? Upgrade to the next tier.
The feature one also gets tricky, because they always stash the stuff you will need eventually into a higher tier. Just search some CRM’s now and tell me what you find.
Here’s the deal:
Besides the higher ongoing subscription fees you’re committed to as long as you use the product, you are also paying more every time you grow. And growth means adding subscribers, members, users or needing a new feature to scale out.
It’s also common to be subject to changing pricing structures as they squeeze the profit from any plan that seems like to good of a deal to a client. FYI, those plans usually are turned into “legacy” options they no longer offer new clients. Enjoy that while it lasts…
