Seeking titles

November 12, 2024

One oddity that can be more pronounced in the nonprofit world is people basking in titles of “power” more so than focusing on goal-oriented outcomes that they are supposed to be there for in the first place.

Maybe because the position held is the value over strictly getting a paycheck? I’ve seen some people take it way too serious and then gate keep and not empower those around them to rise up.

Here’s the deal:

Don’t fall for the trap. Nudge people to focus on the real goals of the organization. Leaders empower and let others take the limelight. Seeing RESULTS in lives effected for the better is what really matters, not who “took credit”.

Andy
